The truck driver, an Apex man, was delivering a replacement cab to a transport truck that had broken down near the Jones Sausage Road interchange with I-40. As he was trying to cross the highway, the driver of a Mitsubishi struck him. See :
At the end of the day, the truck driver was still listed in critical condition.
No charges were filed against the driver of the Mitsubishi.

A truck driver was killed and dozens of passengers were injured in a fiery Chicago train accident on Friday, May 13, involving a Metra commuter train and a dump truck.
The train, bound for Chicago at the height of the morning commute, collided at 50 mph with a dump truck in the suburb of Mount Prospect, causing a derailment and fire. According to Fox News Chicago, a motorist who witnessed the accident said the truck turned without warning into the train’s path, going around gates that were down to stop traffic.
